Australia New South Wales Government Railways CPH Railmotor Cabview for Microsoft Train Simulator. --------------------------------------------- Downloaded from The Short North Carriage and Wagon Engineering Workshops http://shortnorth.steam4me.net/ Credits: -------- Cab view by Jim Halsey. e-mail: jhalsey@optusnet.com.au This cab was built using photos that I took of a CPH cab at the Lachlan Valley Railway at Cowra, NSW. I would like to thank the staff for allowing me into the cab to take these photos. Installation: ------------- There are two Versions of this cab: Imperial speedo / Metric speedo - One for users who run pre-1975 scenarios - the Speedometer is calibrated in MPH - One for users who run post-1975 scenarios - the Speedometer is calibrated in KPH. Select which version that you want to use and download the appropriate pack from the Short North website. NOTE: only ONE version can be installed at any one time. To use this Cabview pack, you MUST HAVE Joseph Spinella's original CPH Railmotor, or Brian Bere-Streeter's V2 Railmotor Upgrade pack installed in an existing folder named <<< AU_nswCPH >>>. Unzip the files into a temporary folder, then copy and paste all of the files straight into the <<< Cabview >>> folder, under the Trainsets <<< AU_nswCPH >>> folder (check the name to be sure). Over-write any files if asked to. The new files will directly replace the existing Cabview without further installation. You will need to create either a new consist to use these Railmotors, or add them to an existing consist. Consists are made, or edited, using MSTS Activity Editor or Carlos Gomes's ConBuilder. If you have any problems installing this add-on, please e-mail me at jhalsey@optusnet.com.au SPECIAL FEATURE FOR MSTS BIN USERS ONLY ======================================= If you have MSTS BIN installed on your system, these Cabviews are setup for Reverse running. To reverse the railcar and change cabs, the following procedure must be adhered to: When running in the Forward direction, close the Throttle, and using the brakes bring the Railmotor to a full stop. Once stopped press Shift E to take the railcar out of gear, press the S key to put the railcar into neutral, now press the View 1 key (DO NOT change the Reverser from Forward to Reverse) - this will change the view to the rear driving cab. Place the railcar back into Forward, press the E key to shift into gear, release the brakes, then press the D key to drive away. NOTE: when using the BIN reverse cab feature, when you are running in 'reverse' and want to change the points in front of you, just press the G key normally, DO NOT press Shift G as you would normally do when not using BIN.
